Our child attended the early child care program. Teachers were great except for one who eventually brought COVID to class. She lacked love and really any ability to bond with kids. My child did not fit the mold and they don’t have the know how nor the desire to teach him. This is not how Christ acts or responds. I was raised Baptist and was until I really found Jesus. It’s really not a mystery to me why so many Baptist churches struggle financially, I believe it’s due to their religious spirit. They don’t deserve to have children under them like mine just their pastors kids and “church family” belong.

  • I visited this church when we were on vacation earlier this year. We really enjoyed the music and the teaching. Our kids loved the kids program. If we lived in the area we would definitely consider making this our home church.

I could write a book here, but I'll try to keep it succinct.

In my previous review, I alluded to a challenging time in the life of my family. Well, challenges continued..and this church has proven itself to not be the church for me when I need help, when I need a family. They talk "itsallaboutfamilies" and preach "we're here to strengthen families. But when my family was in turmoil they ignored me, didn't reach out, and ultimately cut me off. They claim to be an open door to hurting and searching people, but without an authentic effort to bring healing and restoration the leadership was unloving and indifferent in their words and actions.

There is a good reason why a church doesn't show it's star rating on yelp. It's sad when a church has to hide the truth.

Leadership at this church will make many assumptions about how you are doing, or how your family is doing. They won't make the effort to really find out. They don't want to get involved. I guess it's more comfortable just staying on the stage, under the spotlight. They'll choose sides...and won't care about the damage they do.

And when you stop going there, they won't follow up at all. One person or couple might reach out...in hundreds of people.

Go somewhere else - find a church that has proven an understanding of God's love, of His grace and mercy. I'm not sure where that will be for me, but I'm glad my wasted time at Orchard is over.

  • We felt like family from the moment we walked in the doors. My kids love going to Orchard and are sad on the days we have to miss. For me this shows how loving a church is. I would suggest Orchard Ave to anyone who loves the Lord or searching for the One True God. You never have to wonder where the information is coming from--it's straight from the Bible.

  • Best church in town. Great people and awesome Pastors proclaiming God's word.

  • When I first attended Orchard I felt welcomed and at home by everyone I met. The preaching and teaching was straight from the Word of God with application to our everyday lives. After visiting other churches in the Solano Co area, I felt that God was leading me to stay at Orchard, and I know this because I saw myself and my children grow in their faith. Also, Orchard is very involved with their community whether it was through Trunk or Treat for Halloween, serving hot chocolate for Merriment on Main and Candy Cane Lane, or through ensuring that all of their teens were sponsored for youth camp. I have made life long friends here and even though I had to move due to military obligations, this will be my home church for the rest of my life. I highly recommend trying Orchard.
